I recently tried this chocolate ganache recipe and it turned out so smooth and glossy that I just had to share it here. It works perfectly as a glaze, filling, or frosting – and it's surprisingly easy to make!

Ingredients (classic dark chocolate ganache):

  • 200 g dark chocolate (around 55–70%)
  • 200 ml heavy cream (30–35%)
  • Optional: 20 g butter (for extra shine and smoothness)

How to make it:

  1. Chop the chocolate finely.
  2. Bring the cream to a simmer, then remove from heat.
  3. Pour the cream over the chocolate, let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth.
  4. Add the butter while it’s still warm, if you're using it.

That’s it! You can use it immediately or let it cool and thicken to your desired consistency.
