Bonnie Butter Cake :
Grease and flour..... 2 9" layer pans or 13x9" oblong pan
Cream together until fluffy..... 2/3 cup soft butter
1&3/4 cups sugar
2 eggs ( 1/3 to 1/2 cups )
1&1/2 tsp. vanilla
Sift together..... 3 cups sifted SOFTASILK Flour or 2&3/4 cups sifted GOLD
MEDAL Flour
2&1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Mix in alternately..... 1&1/4 cups milk
( use low speed on mixer.)
Pour into prepared pans. Bake. Cool.
Frost as desired. Delicious iced with a fluffy white icing sprinkled with coconut,or Strawberries.
Temperature: 350 degrees ( mod.oven ).
Time: Bake layers 35 to 40 min., oblong 45 to 50 min.
