MTM has a tackle box with SO MANY 'doo-dads' in it. The box has 5 drawers and a top part also. The only thing I know is, I was in the basement and literally got hooked<<< with a barb fishing hook while trying to get into the refrigerator! It is not a happy experience. Good thing MTM was home so when he heard me talking Pittsburgh-ese at the TOP OF MY LUNGS, he came down and un-hooked me. SO

the only thing I have ever caught is....
ME! Pretty clever, eh?

Omg!

Okay guyz! It's not like we're getting married. We just like each other a ton!

Anyway, three of my banana trees are doing awesome! Since that hail storm (the tornado that almost touched down) they all made new leaves that are 8 inches to over a foot long! Here's some pics I took before sunset tonight!

They are looking great Curbie!
Those look awesome! You are def a great nana mama!

Btw, we only gave advice, YOU did the awesome job raising the banana plants!

That looks like blue Hosta too in pics 1 and 4. That's great ground cover and it flowers!
Btw, you wanna look at photos of racoons. Trust me, you don't wanna HAVE a racoon. They shred curtains, pillows, blankets, clothes, new ti-dye t-shirts

, gardens, plants, and they break model airplanes

, dishes, lamps, etc etc etc etc etc... They're cute and they're deadly! And I only had mine for 4 days.

If you ever want a racoon, buy Japanese fighter fish. They're a lot safer.

Wow great pics Trax and curbie...really healthy looking 'nanas. I'm a bit worried my baby may be affected by frost, will have to keep an eye on her and the temps too.
Thanks, folks. I think I got lucky with good healthy plants from that mail order place. Now that they're outside, they don't get to listen to too much ♫. I still don't nkow what to do when we get to fall and winter. Oh well

Trax,
Your banana looks like it lives in south Florida with all the tattered leaves. They are doing very well though.Mine are a little ragged too.
Curbie
Your nanas are looking great!
I just hide mine under a vine outside. I think it's a trumpet vine so not much can get to the nana plants. You should see me trimming plants. We had this fellow at our church who we called The Polish Tree Trimmer. I must be related to him. I am out at sunrise and just 'trimming'. My Dad was known as 'Doctor Hack in the Bush'(it was a college job). He kept his name 'Doc'. I was out this morning at 5AM, chopping up things ~ "YOU are annoying me." Time for a change. MTM asked,"What have you been doing?" I packed your lunch and mutilated the lilac bush and then I trimmed the trumpet vine. (I haven't done anything wrong ~ well, the lilac looks kind of stupid b/c I don't have my contact yet.) I have many many hosta, Josh. I love that they bloom at different times of the season. The fragrance is awesome. Just like the lilacs. MAYBE, I'll have a banana bloom some day.

Mr. Trax, there is probably not one us that does not read your posts about the girl without harkening back to our own experiences and reliving those memories vicariously. You have been a delightful addition to the forum.

Amen Randy! It's great to have the exuberance of youth in the forum.
i don't like trax ~ MY GOSH WAS THAT A LIE! THAT is TOTAL FIB! Now I have the hiccups! Josh, we adore you and now we have to get Craig to post. (I STILL think there's more to this fishing than just this 'fishing' experience with her...

oh...) ~ Mama Nana

Omg!

Wow! Thanks for the compliments guyz!

Dunno though. I had a date tonight and I was sooooo nervous. I even spilled my coke. I coulda died right there but she was really cool about it.
Anyway, wow. The new leaves on all three of my bananas opened up today!

I'll def take a photo tomorrow and post it! And my other banana tree has new leaves too! I won't loose any of them, yay!
@ Curbie. When it starts to get cold again, I'll have some info about keeping bananas alive in the winter - indoors!

@ Ron. Hey, you can't be that old and grow that many plants!

I wish I could but I'm having probs taking care of the ones I do have.
hey trax I also spilled my drink on my first date too it was at the movies and I tripped and ...straight in her lap!

It was a good ice breaker and she took it really well. She did get even later by tipping the ice from her drink into my jacket pocket.....I didn't even realise she'd done it until I got a soggy ride home in the car

She couldn't fish, though she did end up marrying me

Taking care of lots of plants is the fun part!
I'll take a few shots of my inventory of perennials!
I love selling my plants to fellow gardeners!
It gives me a good excuse to talk everything about gardening!
As to how old I am: I have more years behind me then there are ahead of me!

Now Ron, it is all a state of mind

LOOK AT ME! I got back to GF and I am never logging off again......

I was gone and I really got in a tizzy. I purred, ate spaghetti, and played the piano. I was SORELY unhappy about it. The nana's are growing and I have 3 new leaves! ~ CURBSTER (look at me)
@ Wombat. Married???

I'll think about that later...
Omg! Now I want spaghetti!

Congrats about the 3 new leaves! I have 3 new leaves too!

Yay!!

My banana trees are doing awesome!!
Here's some pics I just took! The first one is the mama plant. The other one is the 2 pups. They all have new leaves!

Am I ever going to have to put these in the ground, Trax? Our winters can be brutal. MamaNana has been dragging then out of the sunshine and protecting them and basically acting like an goofball. My neighbor keeps asking,"What's on your deck?" nothing "What was on there earlier?" nothing... but petunias.......and marigolds and few cats and Dusty Miller and pussy willow and a lilac tree and the grill and a table with some chairs and basil and natursiums

I really think , besides my other 'gone wrong' things, I have pulled my muscle from hauling these nanas around! They are OUTside until October. Is that OK? (Hey, did you catch fish?") ~ Curbie
