I have some blanket flowers in the garden and want to save some seed from these plants. I cut off a couple dried pods and they were off white or gray in color. when I open up the pods I found lots of fuzzy looking stuff, but I guess I dont really know what I'm looking for. Could someone tell me what the seed looks like and if I'm on the right track? thanks
Errol
I have millions of blanket flowers
After they bloom the center of the flower turns whiteish and the seeds are fuzzy. when they dry rub them off with your gloved hand

Kya D, thank you so much!! Your artical sure cleared things up for me. I printed it off. Also wanted you to know I will be sowing some of the hollyhock seed this fall, and some next spring. Also I want to try wintersowing this winter. I would think HH seed would be good for this?
again, thank you for your help
Errol
Glad I could help.
Hollyhocks drop a tap root so when you plant them give them enough room to root.
