I am so enjoying this litter of bunnies. Their nest was under one of my coneflowers...my champy found it first. I am so proud of him leaving the bunnies alone. We both sit and watch them from the window every nite. They hang out under the yarrow and verbascum now...they chase each other around and right before sunset, momma comes home and feeds her family...this is so precious.
that,s so cool to have a bunny family living in your yard.
Don't ya just love how they flip over to their back to nurse?
It's surprising how fast the little guys run from their hiding places when momma shows up. After they nurse they must get a burst of energy because then they are all over the place. Me and Champ will miss them once they grow up and move away.
They are so cute! Is it a jackrabbit (a hare) or a cottontail (a rabbit)?
