Cilantro which is also known as Coriandrum sativum is a delicious herb to eat but a fickle plant to grow. Cilantro plant can be grown outside in a garden or indoors in containers. Immediately it sprouts, the race is on to harvest the plant leaves before the plant flowers and the flavor profile will change. Growing Cilantro plant indoors helps with this process, as you will simply snip off what you need as you prepare your meals. Expect your (Coriandrum sativum) cilantro plant to live only for a couple of months before it flowers, at which point it becomes useless as a culinary plant.
