Thanks for sharing your beautiful flowers with us maggie. I enjoyed them.
Thanks guys. I have started potting up my perennials so I can at least keep most of them. I can keep them watered but can't keep all my beds clean of weeds. I'll take up my calla lilies and liatiris this fall. My granddaughter Sarah is taking care of one of the beds for me. Her and her boyfriend spent the afternoon weeding and hauling and spreading mulch. They are a great help to us.

Keep the pics comming Maggie, the colours are wonderful! It's great that they're helping you out too. Let's hope Sarah's inherited your green thumb! For some reason this flowering ginger has decided to bloom in the middle of winter, strange!

Maggie
Boy! Simply beautiful!
John,
Love the ginger!
We have one species (2 cultivars) that is winter hardy to zone 6 without a winter mulch and zone 5 with a thick winter mulch!
I love th tropical ones more!
Does the ginger flower Ron? It's great that you have one that'll grow in cooler climates. This is a Golden Rain tree, setting seed
