Most of us have lived with Murphy's Law for what seems forever. But have you ever heard of Finnegan's Law? Finnegan's Law says, "Murphy was an optimist." It took me a while to realize both those guys were Irishmen.

Somewhere, I have a list of applications of Murphy's law as applied to electronics that I copied from a magazine about 45 years ago. I only recall one of the applications from memory though. It said, "Any wire cut to size will be too short."
