I picked one up recently at Lowes.. It is very dark purple almost black.. It is labeled Rex Begonia.. Does this sound right?
Unable to post a pic bc I'm at work.

Bright light, some morning sun is great.
Water only when the soil dries out.
Do not let the pot sit in water after watering.
Fertilize once a month with a water soluable type, 15-30-10 while it is growing, less often during the winter!
Use a peat base soil-less mix.
Only repot when the plant outgrows the pot it is in!
That's the standard answer for culture and care!
Rex's do bloom every now and then, with usually small pink flowers.
