I have 7 Rosa Rugosa roses that are only two years old and they need to be moved. I chose the wrong place for them when I planted them. I cut them back in Aug. preparing for the transplant.
I had planned to move them this fall but time has gotten away from me and now in four days we are supposed to get down to freezing overnight temps.
I'm just afraid that there wouldn't be time for them to get their roots going if I move them.

It isn't going to be cold enough to freeze the ground and the rugosa is a tough rose bush.

Any ideas or advice?

I would leave them until after the freeze and move them the next time we warm up for a few days

We do have freeze warnings for tomorrow and Wednesday night. It will go down to 20* Wednesday.
