Beautiful Daylilies!! Has anyone tried growing these from seed? I trade my seeds off every year but have been thinking of giving them a shot....from what I have been reading, you can get some really unusual ones from the cross pollenation.
They were a nice surprise for me. The first year I was in this house my father mowed them down, he was sure they were the common orange ones. The next year, being a bit more open minded about untidy edges to the lawn and thinking that the common orange daylilies are pretty too, I left them alone. Boy am I glad that I did. I need to dig them up and move them to a sunnier spot, but there always seems to be something more urgent to do. And, after all, they've survived there on their own for years.
